REFORM
OUR PURPOSE
Over the years, PUMA has partnered with athletes and ambassadors who have raised their voices to support universal equality. Individuals like former Olympian Tommie Smith, who inspired all races, religions, and nations to join together around justice and acceptance. In 2018, we established #REFORM to honor the 50th anniversary of Tommie Smith’s Silent Gesture, pushing for equity, equality, and human rights for all. To support leaders and organizations who inspire real change with real action.
REMEMBERING TRAYVON MARTIN
We proudly participate in the annual Trayvon Martin Foundation's Remembrance Walk & Gala in Miami, FL.
The Trayvon Martin Foundation, a nonprofit advocacy group, provides essential emotional and financial support to families affected by gun violence. During this year’s event, we collaborated with local Miami artist Vic Garcia to host a vibrant community art activation, and later generously donated the piece to the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
A SALUTE TO BLACK CULTURE
To celebrate Black History Month, PUMA is proud to partner with the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The Schomburg Center works to preserve artifacts, history, and culture from across the diaspora. Our partnership champions education, empowerment, and cultural enrichment through scholarly endeavors, funding initiatives, and more. To kick off the multi-year collaboration, PUMA’s employee-led collective of Black creatives, We Are Legends, has designed a limited PUMA x Schomburg Center collection entitled “Deeply Rooted," launching 2/19.
CELEBRATE TOMMIE SMITH’S LEGACY
In 1968 at the Mexico City World Games, Tommie Smith stepped onto the podium, raised his fist, and changed the course of history. The Icons of Unity collection represents PUMA and Tommie’s ongoing dedication to striving for peace, justice, equality, and dignity. These four pillars are translated into bold graphics and colors in this hopeful, powerful streetwear collection.
